Casual RSVP wording for an email

A casual RSVP email: subject with your names and the date, three friendly lines, the link on its own line. Plain text, one household per email if you're using household links.

Free, no account. Made by Vowlist — the guest list, budget and checklist are free; the RSVP link is $79 once, no subscription.

Three ways to say it

  1. Subject: [Names] — [Date] — can you come?

Hi [Household]! Our wedding is on [Date] and we'd love you there. Here's your RSVP link: [Link] — reply by [Deadline] if you can. Your names are already on it.
    [Names]
  2. Subject: RSVP link for [Date]

Hey! Quick one from [Names]: tap [Link], say who's coming and what you'd like to eat, by [Deadline]. Takes a minute.
    Thanks!
  3. Subject: [Names] are getting married — RSVP by [Deadline]

Hi [Household], you've probably got the invite by now — here's the link to reply: [Link]. By [Deadline] would be perfect.
    See you on [Date]! [Names]

Placeholders in brackets — [Names], [Date], [Link], [Deadline], [Household] — are yours to fill; the generator below does it for you.

Questions about an email

What goes in the subject line?

Your names, the word RSVP and the date: "Maya & Jon — please RSVP by June 1". Guests search their inbox for it later; make it findable.

One email to everyone (BCC) or one per household?

One per household if you use per-household links (each family gets their own). If you send one BCC email, use the wedding-wide link and let guests find their name — and never CC, or every guest sees every address.

Should I attach the invitation?

A small image of it, sure — but put the link and the reply-by date in the text of the email, not only in the image. Images get blocked; text does not.

The link the wording points to

Vowlist gives every household its own RSVP link — the family taps it, sees only their names, picks who is coming and what they eat, done. No app, no account, and we never email or message guests.
