Casual RSVP wording for an online invitation

A casual online invitation is a friendly note with the facts and one link. Say it the way you would in a message, keep the date and deadline obvious, and don't make anyone sign up to answer.

Free, no account. Made by Vowlist — the guest list, budget and checklist are free; the RSVP link is $79 once, no subscription.

Three ways to say it

  1. We're getting married on [Date] and we'd love you there. Let us know by [Deadline]: [Link] — no app, no account, your names are ready.
  2. It's happening: [Names], [Date]. Come celebrate with us! RSVP by [Deadline] here: [Link].
  3. You're invited to our wedding on [Date]. Can you come? Tap [Link] and tell us by [Deadline] — pick who's coming and what you'd like to eat.

Placeholders in brackets — [Names], [Date], [Link], [Deadline], [Household] — are yours to fill; the generator below does it for you.

Questions about an online invitation

Button text or full link?

Both: a clear button ("RSVP now") for phones and the plain URL underneath for people who forward the invite or print it. Some mail clients strip buttons.

Do guests need an account to reply?

They should not. If your tool makes guests sign up before replying, expect fewer replies. On a Vowlist link a guest taps their household, picks who is coming and a meal, and is done — no app, no account.

Can I send one invite to a whole family?

Yes — address it to the household ("The Harrisons") and use that household's own link so the form already lists their names. One invite, one reply, no guessing which cousin answered.

The link the wording points to

Vowlist gives every household its own RSVP link — the family taps it, sees only their names, picks who is coming and what they eat, done. No app, no account, and we never email or message guests.
